What a valid notice needs
- Your name and contact details, and your relationship to the work.
- A description of the copyrighted work you own.
- The exact GMF link or links to the allegedly infringing material.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorised to act.
- Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next
We review the notice, remove or restrict access to the material where the notice is valid, log the action in our moderation record, and notify the creator with the reason. Challenge entries removed on a valid notice are disqualified from that challenge.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed in error, reply with your contact details, identification of the removed material, and a good-faith statement explaining your rights. We will review and restore the material where the counter-notice is valid.
Repeat infringement
Accounts with repeated valid infringement notices are suspended and may be permanently removed. Filing knowingly false notices is itself a violation of our community guidelines.
