How a beat battle runs

Pick an open round

Every battle publishes its category, brief, entry window, submission limit and judging method before it opens. Free to enter — no paid-entry rounds.

Submit your beat

Upload the track, confirm it is your original work or that you hold the rights, and accept the round's rules. One producer can enter within the published submission limit.

Community voting

Votes are recorded server-side. You can't vote for your own entry, duplicate votes in a period are blocked, and suspended accounts can't vote.

Results and Respect

Standings come from valid votes. Placements earn Respect Points and a profile badge that builds a verifiable production résumé on your creator page.

Battle formats you'll see

Open-theme rounds

Any beat, any tempo. These reward personality and identity — the producer with the clearest sonic signature usually advances.

Sample-flip rounds

Everyone starts from the same source material, so technique and arrangement decide the round. Clearance rules are stated in the brief.

Brief-driven rounds

A host or sponsor sets the target: a genre, a mood, a length, sometimes a reference artist. Reading the brief closely is half the battle.

Voting you can actually trust

Memberships and tokens never buy votes, rankings, Respect Points or prize outcomes. Every vote is written server-side with an auditable record, and admins can disqualify fraudulent entries — with the reason logged. Provisional results are labelled as such while a round is still under review.
